Description:

Tomodachi Life, also known as Tomodachi Collection: New Life, is a game made by Nintendo for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems. In the game, you take care of the Miis, known as islanders, as they do trivial things, but in very quirky ways. It is a sequel to Tomodachi Collection, a Japan-exclusive game that is essentially, the same game as Tomodachi Life, but for Nintendo DS and DSi.

My Quirky Experience:

Where to begin... I first picked up this game when I was around High School, I believe in 2016, or early 2017, and I just fell in love with the game. The game is a much more simplified, but quirky version of The Sims. Note I have never play The Sims, but kinda been meaning to... I just enjoy the quirkiness of the game, how one can create Miis of just about any person or "thing" and have them interact with each other in funny ways. I also enjoy the aspect of dressing up the miis and giving them nice little rooms.

When I got my own Nintendo New 2DS XL, I played the physical copy that I had for the short time I had my Nintendo New 2DS XL, until I lost it in High School one day... Bastards...

I did miss playing the game, so later on in my life, when I had a job and money, I brought another New Nintendo 2DS XL and a digital copy of Tomodachi Life, and enjoyed playing the game. Then for a long while, I got tired of playing the game. Near the end of that period, I got a little sad about how I haven't played the game for a long time, and how my Miis might miss me (this game will berate you if you are gone for a long while) so I decided to give it another shot.

Now, it's important to mention that when I got my second Nintendo New 2DS XL, I did hacked it and got apps like FBI running. Despite this, I did purchase the digital copy because I was just that interested in the game. Why do I mention this? Because when I turned on my New 2DS XL after not playing it for a long time, it asked for an update. I checked to see if I could install the update with my hacked model and it was safe to do so. Big mistake. I don't know the exact cause, but after updating the system, my hacked New 2DS XL could not play my purchased digital copy of Tomodachi Life. After trying to my best to recover my save, I just couldn't and so, I had to download a copy from the internet and install it via FBI.

In the timeframe between the first time I played it, up until now, I consider to have three saves/editions within that time. The first save was when I got my first New 2DS XL. When I lost that, and got another, the second copy would be my second save. I spent a good amount of time on it. Then when the update broke the purchased digital copy I had on my hacked New 2DS XL, and I had to download a copy, that copy would be my third and current save.

I would say this third edition, round, or save is one of the best I have going right now. I have saved photos of the first, second and third/current save, but for right now, I'm just going to show off a select few from the third save, with my own quirky commentary.

P.S: Yes, I have tried Citra inbetween the first and second save, but it's just not the same, honestly...
